God on a Good Friday

good-friday-hd-wallpaper-with-quotes-wallpapersWe remembered Good Friday, when the Lord gave up His Spirit and fulfilled His salvation mission for all who will believe in Him. This good Friday we witnessed ultimate humility when our Creator died in the hands of His creation. On this day we saw how He demonstrated His redemption plan for us humans. We also saw how grace was given to us undeserving, that though we are sinners, Jesus died for us. This good Friday we marveled at His victory, as He used the wooden cross to defeat the enemy.

So while others mourn on this day, forbidding their children to play, saying God died on Good Friday, remember that God, on a Good Friday, didn’t remain dead, instead went to hell, swung the gates open, got His keys back saying “Where, o death, is you victory? Where, o death, is your sting?” and resurrected 3 days after.

Remember that through His death, He ransomed the many, cleansed the dirty, and took back what’s His. Remember that one Good Friday, God gave up the life of His one and only Son, Jesus, so that whoever believes in Him will find life eternal. Remember that one Good Friday, God showed how He spells ultimate victory, in 4 letters – L-O-V-E.

That is our God.

This is His love.

One Good Friday.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written:

“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
– Romans 8:35-39 (NIV)

Nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Thank You Jesus.

It’s all about You

Its all about Jesus. Its all about Him.

His life, His works, His suffering, His death, His resurrection, His Kingship, His Kingdom, His coming, everything.

“everything” meant everything. You, me, living, non-living – everything – is about Him, from Him, through Him, for Him.

Search for the “left hook” of Louie Giglio (How Great Is Our God series) and you’ll see that everything literally holds together through the Lord Jesus. Look at creation and you’ll see that all of it points back to Him-the Source of everything. Read the Bible and you’ll see that everything in it is JESUS, JESUS, JESUS.

And guess what, all the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit did and is doing and will do will always be for the love of YOU. Yes, you, for God created this world and you to have dominion over it. He devised plans to prosper you. He gave His only begotten Son-allowed Him to die-for you. He looks after you and He will come again for you.

HE LOVES YOU. He soooo loves you. He is passionate for you. He cares for you. He listens to your calls. He waits on you. He searches you. He’s reaching for you. He wants you. He is there for you. (Man, this will be endless) He longs for you.

Maybe then when you come face to face with God, He will tell you “My child, this is all for you… because I love you”

So while your living your life for the Lord Jesus, remember that you are able to because Jesus loves you so much.

Love Him back and say “Thank You so much Lord”.

UST can cross the line

The largest human cross was achieved by 13,266 participants at an event organised by the University of Santo Tomas (Philippines) in Manila, Philippines, on 9 March 2011.

Imagine if all these more than 13,000 people accepted the Lord Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior, wouldn’t it be truly a mighty human cross showcasing God’s glorious victory? And wouldn’t the University of Santo Tomas faithfully serve its means-that is to educate people towards the love and fear of God?

That would really be UST crossing the line from higher education to eternal salvation.

I’d like that.

God is Love… no matter what

God greatly loves His creation, He gave man His mercy (not getting what one deserve=punishment) and His grace (getting what one does not deserve=salvation). He gives His love to all things regardless of what it did to Him. Man’s personal standing with God does and will not affect His love for man, not because man is worthy of God’s love, but because God is Love.

Man (saint or sinner) receive God’s love because God is simply love. And one cannot point to one’s status or deed for basis of worthiness. One has to point to God and God alone. This will keep us in humility but at the same time confident that we can come to God freely because He loves us.

I do not deserve His love and all that He is giving me, but I thank Him because He loves me, not because of who I am, but because HE LOVES ME.

I John 4:7-8

In Person

When was the last time you said “I love you” to the person close to your heart?

Take time to express how much love you have for people close to your heart-by mail, email, sms, voice or video call or in person.

God loves us so much He showed it to us by giving us His only Son, our Lord Jesus. In a few days, we will be celebrating God’s Love in human form – the birth of our Lord Jesus. Jesus showed us how much He loves us by stepping down from eternity into mortality and back, just because He loves you.

Now that’s “in Person.”

This season and past, make time to tell them how much you love them. They would love that. They may be waiting for that or may be surprised, but definitely, they would love that. I do.

To my family in Pangasinan, Cavite, Pasig, Las Pinas, Mandaluyong, Dubai and those scattered around the world – I LOVE YOU.

What a nice sleep last night… tired and with a headache, but all was gone this morning. As the Scripture says “His love endures… His mercy is new every morning”.

Here are the verses:

22 The faithful love of the Lord never ends!
His mercies never cease.
23 Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning.

– Lamentations 3:22-23 (NLT)

Claim His love and mercy and start each day anew, refreshed and blessed.

Thank You Lord Jesus.
