God on a Good Friday

good-friday-hd-wallpaper-with-quotes-wallpapersWe remembered Good Friday, when the Lord gave up His Spirit and fulfilled His salvation mission for all who will believe in Him. This good Friday we witnessed ultimate humility when our Creator died in the hands of His creation. On this day we saw how He demonstrated His redemption plan for us humans. We also saw how grace was given to us undeserving, that though we are sinners, Jesus died for us. This good Friday we marveled at His victory, as He used the wooden cross to defeat the enemy.

So while others mourn on this day, forbidding their children to play, saying God died on Good Friday, remember that God, on a Good Friday, didn’t remain dead, instead went to hell, swung the gates open, got His keys back saying “Where, o death, is you victory? Where, o death, is your sting?” and resurrected 3 days after.

Remember that through His death, He ransomed the many, cleansed the dirty, and took back what’s His. Remember that one Good Friday, God gave up the life of His one and only Son, Jesus, so that whoever believes in Him will find life eternal. Remember that one Good Friday, God showed how He spells ultimate victory, in 4 letters – L-O-V-E.

That is our God.

This is His love.

One Good Friday.

A Walk To Remember

Image

When did you start walking with Jesus?

Do you remember?

Can you clearly recall? How Jesus took you by the hand and led you to the narrow path? How He gently whispered in your ear ‘You’re Mine.’ How he begun guiding every step of your way? Yeah, sometimes you resisted, but He said again and again, ‘I love you My child.’ Surely you can remember. It is the journey of the lifetime. It is the small-step-for-you-a-giant-leap-for-mankind kind of thing, and it is all worth the effort… and the faith.

But there were mud pools, potholes and humps along the way, things you can’t imagine yourself stepping onto, but you did. In fact, you sometimes stood for a while on it, even wallowed in it. There were also areas where it said ‘STOPOVER’ and you did stopped over. There were signs too that says ‘Min. Speed: 7’ and at times you were oh too lazy to even get to 5, but you kept moving along. You just kept walking.

So when you see yourself almost spent, tired and aching. When you almost ground to a halt.
Remember, you are not alone in this journey. There is One holding you with His strong arm. One who promised never to leave nor forsake you in the middle of nowhere. Remember Him-Jesus, who started walking with you that day assuring you He’d be finishing it too. He promised to renew your strength and keep you going. Then, again, you will find the strength to go on and finish the race called life.

Just remember: Walk on! Walk with Jesus!

The Right Reason

nativity sceneMany prepare for Christmas a long time before the day itself. Some even feel ‘Christmassy’ when the ‘ber’ months pile in. Some begin their shopping early. While others go far to find that perfect bargain, some fly great distances just to buy the most expensive for the most loved. Many take time cooking that special dish for that special day or dress up their homes. Most of us make sure that Christmas day will be fun and festive, indeed a very special day.

How about that first Christmas night? All grandeur and festivities were absent that humble night. Not a firework in the sky except for that GPS-like star. Not much festivities also, aside from the lowly shepherds in awe at what they witnessed. Yes, great lengths were travelled, not to buy gifts, but to give them-gold, frankincense, myrrh-all brought from afar for someone unknown and… well… unloved by many. The simplicity of this night might make contrasts with the festivities of our own.

But this simple night is what its all about. It’s the bridge between ‘in the beginning’ and ‘it is finished’. It’s John 3:16 heard from a baby’s cry. It’s salvation Himself born. Grace in the flesh – Jesus.

He is what this season is all about. Let us remember that the best gift we can give Him is a lost soul. The best meal we can have is His Words. And the best time to share Him is today.

A blessed Christmas to all.

Jesus is my Shepherd

The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
-Psalm 23: 1-3

He is my Shepherd, He knows how to keep me.
He is my Provider, He knows what I need.
He is my Hope, He shows me a bright future.
He is my Teacher, He tells me things I know not.
He is my Lord, He knows where to lead me.
He is my Healer, He knows where I hurt.
He is my Comforter, He knows when I hurt.
He is my Maker, He knows what I am made of.
He is my Savior, He knows I am His.
He is my Lover, He loves me.
He is my God.
He is my All.
His Name is Jesus.

Dubai 2012

At exactly 0:00 of the year 2012, the fireworks started lighting up the Dubai Skyline that lasted for more than 8 minutes. The tallest fireworks in the world was presented by the tallest skyscraper in the world, Burj Khalifa. An amazing visual treat set in the heart of downtown Dubai as it welcomes the 12th year of the 2nd millenium.

Thanks to You Lord Jesus for allowing us to marvel at this spectacular scene.

It’s all about You

Its all about Jesus. Its all about Him.

His life, His works, His suffering, His death, His resurrection, His Kingship, His Kingdom, His coming, everything.

“everything” meant everything. You, me, living, non-living – everything – is about Him, from Him, through Him, for Him.

Search for the “left hook” of Louie Giglio (How Great Is Our God series) and you’ll see that everything literally holds together through the Lord Jesus. Look at creation and you’ll see that all of it points back to Him-the Source of everything. Read the Bible and you’ll see that everything in it is JESUS, JESUS, JESUS.

And guess what, all the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit did and is doing and will do will always be for the love of YOU. Yes, you, for God created this world and you to have dominion over it. He devised plans to prosper you. He gave His only begotten Son-allowed Him to die-for you. He looks after you and He will come again for you.

HE LOVES YOU. He soooo loves you. He is passionate for you. He cares for you. He listens to your calls. He waits on you. He searches you. He’s reaching for you. He wants you. He is there for you. (Man, this will be endless) He longs for you.

Maybe then when you come face to face with God, He will tell you “My child, this is all for you… because I love you”

So while your living your life for the Lord Jesus, remember that you are able to because Jesus loves you so much.

Love Him back and say “Thank You so much Lord”.
