The tie that binds

One of my favorite prayer quotes:

“God, send me anywhere, only go with me. Lay any burden on me, only sustain me. And sever any tie in my heart except the tie that binds my heart to Yours.”

by David Livingstone

Things to Keep Looking at

And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. – Philippians 4:8

It’s very much straightforward and self-explanatory.

Try hard to focus on these positive things rather than finding and even dwelling in people’s faults, weaknesses and shortcomings. It is a great task for others, while for some, just a breeze. We all walk in this journey called life and the Lord, through Paul has given us these reminders to make it easier.

I just hope and pray that we will heed God’s Word, its for our own good.

He is my Shepherd

The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
-Psalm 23: 1-3

He is my Shepherd, He knows how to keep me.
He is my Provider, He knows what I need.
He is my Hope, He shows me a bright future.
He is my Teacher, He tells me things I know not.
He is my Lord, He knows where to lead me.
He is my Healer, He knows where I hurt.
He is my Comforter, He knows when I hurt.
He is my Maker, He knows what I am made of.
He is my Savior, He knows I am His.
He is my Lover, He loves me.
He is my God.
He is my All.
His Name is Jesus.
